Daina Higgins (b.1979) has a keen eye for the unheralded, lonely spots that are ubiquitous around the city. She paints vivid, luscious, realistic images of storefronts, car lots, and underpasses. She is a legend when it comes to women and graffiti.
Higgins received her BFA from the School of Visual Arts and MFA from Queens College. Her work has been exhibited in solo and group shows in Los Angeles, New York, Columbus, and Miami. She lives and works in Philadelphia.
