Tony Mendoza (b.1942) was born in Havana, leaving Cuba to study in the US in 1960. The biggest influence for Mendoza has been growing up with a family of storytellers. These works capture his daughter Lydia, now grown, on various Halloweens during her childhood.
His photographs are in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art; the Museum of Modern Art New York; the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
